Triple-A Secures In-Principle Approval from VARA for Broker-Dealer Services

Company Update

Singapore, July 15th, 2026:Triple-A, a global payment institution, today announces that it has been granted In-Principal Approval (IPA) for Broker-Dealer services from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).

As the world's first independent regulator for virtual assets, VARA is responsible for regulating and overseeing the provision, use, and exchange of virtual assets in and from the emirate of Dubai. The VARA-licensed market is among the most selective virtual asset frameworks globally, with just over 50 entities holding full licenses.

Securing an IPA is a significant regulatory threshold, marking progress to the final stage of VARA's licensing process ahead of a full license being granted. Triple-A's licensing assessment remains ongoing, and the company now enters a defined window to complete operational readiness requirements and close remaining post-IPA conditions.

This announcement serves to highlight Triple-A’s proven track record of compliance, with the company licensed in the EU and Singapore under MiCA and MAS, Money Transmitter Licenses across 20+ US jurisdictions, and registered as a Money Services Business in the US and Canada. After its engineering team, compliance is its second biggest department and it has been a foundational part of the business’s licensing work since its inception.

Eric Barbier, Chief Executive Officer of Triple-A, said: “This milestone builds on the payments infrastructure we have already developed for the market where this is heading. It is an achievement that reflects months of rigorous work by our compliance, legal, and cross-functional teams, and our long-term commitment to operating within regulated frameworks.”

Being granted an IPA by VARA further illustrates Triple-A’s ongoing commitment to providing compliance infrastructure for enterprise businesses worldwide.
