Triple-A secures MiCA CASP license

May 29, 2026
Company Update

Triple-A has secured a CASP (Crypto-Asset Service Provider) license, authorized under MiCA by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) in France. This license enables Triple-A to offer MiCA-regulated digital asset services across all 30 EU and EEA member states.

To date, only 19 firms have received CASP authorization from the AMF in France. Of those, only two hold both a Payment Institution and CASP license. Triple-A is one of them.

France is one of the EU's most demanding regulatory jurisdictions. AMF authorization is recognized across Europe as a mark of institutional-grade compliance.

This milestone builds on Triple-A's previous registration as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) with the AMF, a license that predates MiCA enforcement. As the European regulatory framework transitions from DASP to CASP in June 2026, Triple-A has secured full MiCA authorization, ensuring uninterrupted regulated digital asset services across the EU for our clients.

What this means for our clients

Triple-A holds two complementary licenses in Europe: a Payment Institution (PI) license, and a CASP license authorized under MiCA by the AMF. Together, these enable Triple-A to offer both stablecoin payment services and local currency operations under a single, fully regulated European footprint.

For enterprise clients operating across the EU, this means:

  • Stablecoin payment acceptance and payouts under a fully regulated EU framework
  • KYC/KYB, sanctions screening, Travel Rule compliance, and transaction monitoring handled entirely by Triple-A
  • A single regulated counterparty covering all 30 EU and EEA member states

Built for regulated markets from day one

Triple-A's compliance infrastructure has been foundational since the company's earliest licensing work. Compliance is Triple-A's second-largest department, behind only engineering. That reflects a deliberate choice: in regulated stablecoin payments, compliance is product infrastructure.

Triple-A is now licensed across the US, EU, Singapore, and Canada, which represents one of the broadest regulatory footprints of any stablecoin payment infrastructure provider globally.

This license marks another step in Triple-A's European expansion and our mission to make global payments in stablecoins and local currencies simpler, faster, and fully compliant for enterprise businesses worldwide.
